For Women, 2017 was a Year of Change

Most everyone agrees that 2017 marked a new high point (or low point) of division between Americans. We’ve all heard the phrase “We’ve never been more divided” repeated on TV, radio and even among our friends and online social circles. While it may be true that the divisions around racism, religion, immigration and political figures are more obvious than ever, I also saw something else this year:

We came together.


We spoke up.

As we begin 2018, there is action and energy from the events of the year before that will help move women and girls forward. What will be the iconic images and language of 2018? Time will tell.
